I´m from the states and If i get married to a Canadian citizen do i automatically receive a SIN number to work.. or does that take time to process?? How long? Thanks for your help! :)

You can´t just come over and work even if you are married. First you have to apply for permanent residency www.cic.gc.ca after you are married to a Canadian (you really have to prove it´s legitimate, by the way). This takes anywhere from 3-18 months depending on how (where) you apply. Then you can come over and apply for a SIN number. I think it takes between 4 and 6 weeks.
