Subject: Question regarding RCMP Clearance |

HI,
I´m an American who has been living in Canada since Aug 2003 working on permanent residency since Jan 2004.
According to the Buffalo Canadian Consulate website, since I´ve been in Canada for more than 6 months I am required to obtain RCMP clearance in addition to my FBI clearance.
In Oct 2004, I received my medical form and request for fee and FBI clearance. The form did not say that I needed RCMP clearance. Was that an oversite or do you think once they receive my FBI clearance they will ask for RCMP clearance?
Since I know RCMP clearances take 5 months, I sent my fingerprints to the RCMP just in case.
Thank you!

(in reply to: Question regarding RCMP Clearance) I would send them a fax and ask. Recently some of my friends who have lived in Canada for more than a year, have not been asked to provide a PCC from Canada.
