Scoliosis is an unfortunate abnormality and as you know it is non communicable.. As I understand, people have problems if they have communicable diseases or non-communicable terminal illnesses. Dont be afraid. You shall be fine.

Ashuri, although you have to take the exam., they cannot faily you because you fall under family class (I assume your partner is Canadian?) and it would contravene humanitarian and compassionate grounds if they did. So do it and don´t worry, you´ll be a PR of Canada!

My 13 yr old daughter has scoliosis. She had surgery for it in the United States one year ago (we´re American) and then she came back to Canada to recuperate. We were stopped at the border to be examined regarding excessive demand - even without a PR application in process (yet) they cleared her to come into Canada. I don´t expect it to even be an issue with our PR application as we´re applying in FC under a spousal sponsorship - but she is not, as you know, communicable. In addition she is covered under her father´s health plan in the States for any further surgeries, etc.
