I suggest just do it on your own and not apply through agency because i had experienced with this people like errors on dates and spelling on my detailed job description that´s why it´s better to do it by yourself so that you could check thorougly your application before submitting it to the canadian embassy.Just go to www.cic.gc.ca and everything should be there.

Its actually a waste of money dealing with local agency. You still will do everything. They will just encode your application and that´s a lot of money for that kind of service. It will not even affect your processing time. I knew of some immigrants who landed much earlier than us who did it on their own.

Our agency (the one in Coastal Mall) did not even advised us to get FBI clearance though they knew we are in the US, hence we were delayed in visa issuance by 4 months....GRrrrrrrr!!! I wished there is something like this 5 years ago giving REAL advises! Don´t be fooled getting their services.

Take IELTS now so you can determine what actual points you will have. They are very particular in points system and language score will make or break you.

My husband & I are both currently working in Bahrain in the hotel industry. I am an accounting frad while my husband is an ungraduate. We have a daughter aged 20 months and would like to migrate to Canada. If we do apply by ourself and in the process got denied for some reason, will our next application using an agent affect the fact that we got denied during our first try? I am planning to do it ourself but just want to check have a plan be just in case

applying to CIC LONDON (in reply to: How to migrate to Canada from Philippines)
Hi, It would take time patience and alot of money if you came from the philippines, I have a friend who applied for an immigrant visa in the canadian consulate manila last late 2003 although completing all of the required documents and interviews till now he still hasn´t heard any updates from the embassy regarding the status of his application. I would say still on the process of queing because correct me if Im wrong thousands and thousands of visa application are being processed in CIC manila than any other CIC worldwide unlike here in CIC london. I started browsing the internet late of december 2006 fortunately I found a site who is looking for a care worker in the area of vancouver submit my CV online got interviewed thuru phone after 5 days of waiting I was hired. The following day I recieve a OFFER SHEET from my employer (Indicates name of my employer, salary, time to start and my signature) I send it back to my employer, and after 5 wks of waiting, I recieve my LABOUR MARKET OPINION CANADA w/c is very important in applying for working visa application in canada..If you got this you have 80-90% chance that your application will be approved. I send it immediately together w/ my visa application, passport, fees etc. after 5 wks of waiting. On the 2nd wk of april I recieve a letter from CIC london to undergo medical examination, the processing time only takes for 14 days. I wait again for 6 wks. on the 31st of May I recieve a letter again w/c they called a LETTER OF INTRODUCTION from CIC london which stated WE ARE PLEASED TO ADVISE YOU THAT YOUR APPLICATION TO WORK/STUDY IN CANADA HAS BEEN APPROVED! thats it!!! Is that easy!!! Im currenty living now in vancouver, canada with my wife and 2 children..
