I understand you have a visitor visa for the United States, but what kind of visa do you have for Canada?
I think this will be the first simple question you will be asked at the US/Canada border.

Questions are quite simple.

What´s the reason of your visit?
Where are you going?
Where are you going to stay?
Who´s paying for your trip?
How long are you going to stay?

It is not what they ask , is the way they ask and the way you respond.
If everything is in order, CBSA officer will stamp your passport and allow your admission to Canada as a visitor.

Bill,

Doesn´t a person need to get a Canadian visitor visa ahead of time? I am so deep into this skilled worker immigration stuff that I am not at all familiar with how visiting Canada works :)
Excuse my ignorance.

Uniden Garcha said he is travelling to Canada on a visitor visa. Therefore he has already gotten one.

Some citizens of certain countries do not require CVV´s to attempt entry into Canada at a boarder crossing/airport/POE. Indian citizens do though.

Bill is right in his response when he said "It is not what they ask, is the way they ask and the way you respond"

It appears that Garcha has possibly misrepresented himself on his CVV application and is concerned that he may be caught in a lie at the border.

It is always better to tell the truth then you don´t have to remember what you wrote on your application. Then there is the other option (KISS) keep it simple stupid. Giving a long explanation to your spouse why you were late can make it worse then just saying, sorry I´m late.

Roy,

I also adhere to the "K.I.S.S." concept! :)

Anyway, I wasn´t sure if I misunderstood Garcha´s statement:
"i am travelling to canada on visitor visa fron US"

I understood that visa to be a US visa. My bad, I was just trying to make sure I got it right :)
Sometimes people twist a word here and there, and the sentence turns into something completely different. I always carefully select my words when I want to make sure that people do not misunderstand me.
