hi
i had applied for canadian immigration under the skilled worker category in nov 2004. i have not heard anything from them till now except for the file no. my girlfriend had also applied during the same time and her case is through. she became a permanent resident in aug 2006. now that i am getting married to her next month, my girlfriend has decided to apply for me under the spousal sponsorship category. what do i do know? how do i withdraw my original FSW application in buffalo. i am right now in india and my girlfriend is in canada. she will come here for a month and then go back to canada after the marriage to apply for me. please help. thanks in advance.

[If your (girfriend) has already gone through an engagement ceremony] she can sponsor you now as a conjugal partner. Just inform them that you already have a FSW application in. Once your marriage has taken place forward an ammended form with your marriage certificate.
To expedite the process go get your medical and prrof of no convictions done now. Send them to your intended and she can submit to Mississauga CPC now and by the time your hooneymoon is over your both on a plane back here. Check out New Delhi processing times for spouses.
