Dear Friends,
I´ve been reading the messages posted since September 2006... and is is really heart-warming to know that there are such wonderful and caring people out there.
Sharon,
And all those who have applied through the Simplified Application Process,
Would you know if I can expect to be notified if my application is NOT ACCEPTED... If I do not receive an AOR in 3 months, does that mean that I am unsuccessful at this time? I sent my application along with the DD on 4th December. The package was received on 6th December, 2006.
Another question, is the AOR sent via ´post..snail-mail´ or email?

I will reply first, because I assume that I am the wonderful and caring person you are talking about. I am also very beatiful, extremely intelligent, and terribly rich! ..Both most of all, today I am a comedian and a liar!
Anyway..
Yes, you will be notified in either case.
If you receive the AOR, it means your application has entered the processing queue.
If your application is not accepted for processing, you will be listed the reasons why not so you can rectify and resend ASAP.
Both AOR and rejection letter are sent in writing via snail mail. No email.
You have not mentioned which country you applied from, and which country you mailed your application to.

Has anyone seen Sharon lately? I hope she´s ok.. Normally, it´s either Sharon, Richard, Bill, Oromum ..and of course, Roy to correct me when I am wrong.
The others ones would say it too, but remain polite rather than honest :)
Do you know the saying: "Do you want me to tell you the truth, or do you want us to remain friends?"? :))

Well, I´m writing from Doha, Qatar and sent the application to London.
So, this means that I will definitely hear from them within 4-6 months and not 3 months as I read somewhere?

Why do I make people smile? I wasn´t supposed to, I was just telling the truth! :)
I wouldn´t use words like "definitely", "for sure", guaranteed" when it comes to processing applications for Canadian PR, but you could look at how others are doing, by visiting this tracker website:

When you are done looking (especially look at applications filed in London, and check columns "Application Filed" and "AOR"), then enter your own information, so we all contribute to the statistics and help others answer similar questions.

Dear Sharon, Uniden and all the lovely people out there!
Just wanted to let you know that I received the AOR today, a little over 4 months, but that´s perhaps because I was on vacation and just returned!
´
The estimated processing time mentioned in the letter is 45 months.
