Subject: Problem with E-client?
Background info.: I´m a U.S citizen married to a Canadian. I´m applying for permanent residence via spousal sponsorship. My husband and I sent in our application in July. We recieved a letter on August 6th stating that he had been approved for sponsorship and that my application for PR was forwarded to Buffalo for processing. On October 6th Buffalo mailed my AOR, I recieved it on October 13th.

It´s been roughly two months since my AOR was sent out. I´ve tried to check e-client with the file number I was given on my AOR and basically it says that I can´t get into e-client. When I check e-client with my husband´s Client ID#, under the sponsorship column it status is decision made but under the permanent residence column is status says "Not Available".

I´ve talked to another spousal sponsorship applicant whose application was forwarded to Buffalo on August 25th (they received their AOR on November 11th) and when they check e-client (using their sponsor´s info) it shows their PR application as "In-Process".

I´m just wondering if this is normal, or if I should possibly try contacting Buffalo to see why my application status on e-client is still "Not Available" even though they´ve made my file.

e-client (in reply to: Problem with E-client?)
Hi Mel,

I had the same experience when tried to access e-client. I have applied at CHC NewDelhi on 2002 Feb and got the file number too. But my e-clinet says your application may not be taken for processing. I posted my case in this forum and got many responses also. I got a reply saying he got the medical papers but still his e-client is not recognizing him. I wonder if there are many with same response from e-client.

Client ID number problems (in reply to: Problem with E-client?)
Hi everybody,

I would like to explain my case and would be very thankful for help.
I am aplying for a work visa in Canada, while staying in Canada. My lawyer paid the $150 fee for application over the internet. The e-case check up of the status on the internet is not available for temporary residence visas. So I called the free toll number of the Canadian guvernment. They asked me for my client ID number which I am suppose to get on my receipt copy while paying over the internet. But in my case, there´s only a blank space where the number´s suppose to be. So my lawyer told me that you don´t get a client ID number because "by the time you get ID #, the decision on your case is already made".
In another words, he told me that there is no way of actually checking up my status which is rather upseting and frustrating, because I am anxious and waiting.
I payed this lawyer for his services $300.

My question is: Do you really don´t get a client ID number by paying fees over the internet or do I have to take a baseball bat and visit my lawyer???

If ANYBODY had/have such a situation like me, PLEASE help, because I´m getting pretty nervous being potentially ripped of.

honestly, i think e-client is a waste of time. don´t make it a habbit, but if u want info..call the call centre. that´s your best bet and most of the time you will get definate answers based on your application prosess.
