I guess after 10 replies we can add more, well from what I know from my friends this depends on your own situation here in Canada. i.e. do you have sufficient fund for yourself and the person you are inviting, after how long will your study permit expire, when you will finish your studies..etc. I know a friend who invited his mother as a visitor but her request was denied because his study permit was about to expire (within few months).

I am under study permit in Canada. My Visa expires in October 2007. But, I can extend it for another year without any problem, as I need at least one year to finish my studies.

Fund may not be a problem. I have a couple of scholarships for this year (worth $20,000). And I also have a funding letter from my supervisor indicating that he will fund me in the absence of Scholarships.

Thanks for ur concern Hamada.
