I have a few questions.
I am in China now and I am a Canadian citizen born in Canada. I have a long time girlfriend and we would like to get married. But she and I would like her to visit my mom in January or so.
She has a aunt that works in the Chinese embassy in Japan. She wrote that down in her application that we didn´t send yet, remmeber she just wants a tourist visa. Would that help alot having an aunt that works in the Chinese embassy in Japan?
Also, we would like her to stay for 2 months or so. How much would almost guarantee us a tourist visa? In the part that says "Funds available for visit"? Or does this even matter.
Also if I guarantee or sponsor her does that increase her chances dramatically?
Basically I just want tips for getting a tourist visa for her. Tips that would make it 90% or more she gets this visa.
Second question after she arrives in Canada if we get married there with her on a tourist visa, do we not have to worry anymore? Thanks!

Matthew,
Her aunt who works in the Chinese embassy in Japan has NOTHING to do with her application as a visitor. It is not even relevant.
"Funds available for visit" SURE IT DOES MATTER.
And even though you may write a letter of invitation there is no such a thing as sponsor a visitors visa.
She (NOT YOU) has to probe that she has intentions to visit Canada on temporary basis, and also prove that she WILL LEAVE Canada at the end of her visit. She needs to have some sore of "ties" to her home country such as bank accounts, properties, a stable job and so on.
Otherwise her visa will be rejected.
And about your second question...
Once you get married, she would have to fill an in-land permanet resident application and be approved as such.

i am from the philippines my husband is a canadian i want to apply for tourist visa coz i just want to visit my husband i really miss him so
much we are just newlywed, and we are planning to have our second honeymoon in canada and visit my husband
parents and realatives, and guaranty that i will leave canada on the end of my stay, wat i am worrying is i dont have
a bank accout or any finances, and dont have a job, my husband supporting me with all my needs, is it possible
that i can still apply for tourist visa, and my husband will cover all my expenses on my stay in canada thanks! hope
