Subject: About new simplified application process

Dear friends,

Does this mean that, I can submit the new simplified application now, but Im doing Bachelor University studies, which means that I finish next year.

Cic says: Applicants are required to fill out and submit a three-page form plus the processing fees, which secures them a place in the queue.

I think it might take 2 years for my application to come active(in line), and until then Im done with University,

My question is, can I submit now, and meanwhile finish my studies.

Will that work

Please help!!!
I think you got my question!

Regards

Hi.

If you download and open the application form you will notice a small box on the first page saying "You must meet ALL criteria at the time you submit your application".

I believe that means you have to get your degree first (unfortunately), know the language(s) at the level you select on the form, have the work experience (if applicable), etc.

I don´t think you can "use" the waiting time for any "improvements". Most of us would like it was otherwise. :)

Cheers.

Thanks Darko for you reply...

I saw that frame when it sayd very clear, but I saw this as well at CIC site ...

Q3: What does the new simplified application process entail?

Simplified kits and forms have been developed to guide applicants through the new process. Applicants are required to fill out and submit a three-page form plus the processing fees, which secures them a place in the queue. All supporting documents are requested later, approximately four months before the visa office is ready to assess the application. A letter of receipt provides advice to the applicant on labour-market preparation encouraging prospective immigrants to make maximum use of the waiting period by, for example, enrolling in courses to upgrade their language skills.

Fair enough. :)

It all depends on our experiences too. I come from a country where you need a visa to visit most western countries (just as tourist, you can´t even immigrate in most of them at all) and in my experience (unfortunately) the visa officer can´t wait to find something in the rules against your application and decline it. And that´s for ´simple´ tourist visa.

Subsequently I try to cover all my angles.

The quote says you can study languages but it does not specifically say whether they would accept you to apply with no English knowledge (for example), and ask them to give you max points for English just because you have learnt the language while in the waiting queue.

That quote is a sword with two blades if you ask me. They claim you can use the time while waiting but the application form says ´all criteria must be met...etc´. If you really want to use the time while at Uni, write an email to the embassy where you would need to apply and ask for clarification.

Tell them precisely what you are planning to do and what do they think about it. I suggest email because that would give you written proof of their answer. Forget about phone calls, anyone can deny them.

Cheers.
