I received an e-mail saying the Ready for Visa letter was prepared yesterday and should be sent out within the next couple of days.
I understand that this means the same as passport request. Please clarify. Thanks in advance.

They´re just letting you know that they´re sending you the Ready for Visa letter. That letter (once you receive it) describes what you need to return to them in order for them to issue you your immigration visa. It will include instructions on how to have your pictures taken, passport to return, etc.
Congratulations of receiving immigration status.
