Hi,
I am expecting a request for passport coming to me anytime from the NY office where my PR application is. My friend said that my passport ahs to be valid for two years when you send in your passport, but my passport will be up for renewal in December 2007.
Is it true that my passport has to be valid for two years?

I think it is either 6 months or 1 year and definitely not 2 years that the passport should be valid.

i just got the passport request from LA office a week ago and they mentoned atleast 6 months vaild passport ,

It has to be valid for 6 months.
