| Subject: PR FROM WITHIN CANADA FOR NIECE |
Can someone tell me how much time it takes to get PR for niece/nephew, if applied from Canada. My neice is currently in Canada on visitor visa and her age is 12years. She is an orphan.

I assume you are going to adopt her? That could be more difficult then you think especially due to her age. Be prepared to answer a slew of questions and you will have to comply with her countries laws as well.

My neice is from India. Currently her grand parents are her guardians. According to CIC website a PR can sponsor ophaned brother,sister, neice & nephew.
How much time it will take to get the PR for her, if applied within Canada.
