okay i just wanted to know, when you sponsor your spouse into canada by marriage, how long does it take before they are able to work here?
also on the permanent resident form, when they want info on ur family are they talking about if you have kids or are they talking about like ur mom and siblings? sorry if this sounds dumb, but i wanna make sure :) thanks in advance :)

(in reply to: about sponsorship of spouse) For out-of-canada application, I guess about 3 to 4 months. That depends on when that person arrives here. SIN number can be gotten in one day.
For in-canada application, it takes about a year. When you get ´approval in principal´(about 9 months), you can apply for open-work permit (which takes 2 months). So, altogether 11 or 12 months.
