Dear all,
I (principal applicant) got PR status along with my wife and son. I have already landed.
The problem is my wife is doing a job in my country. She also applied for leave from her job and waiting for landing. But i afraid she may not get leave from her job before her visa expired. Her visa is going to expire end of this month (April 28th).
Is it possible to extend the visa? Or what could we do? Please advise.
Thanks.
Hoss.

your wife and son should come to land in Canada soon, before the expiry date. I doubt the Visa renewal in this case. She can land in one day and go back to her job the following day. If you are in Canada, you can receive her PR card and then send it to her to use for future visits to Canada

As a government employee she needs government Order to pass country immigration (in reply to: Visa is going to expire while waiting for leave) Dear Anonymous4
Thanks for your reply. The problem is since she is a govrernment emplyee she needs a government Order (Which we call GO letter) from her job place. Otherwise she may be cought up in the immigration (Airport) in my country. Than she have to go back.

(in reply to: Visa is going to expire while waiting for leave) hoss,
I understand but really don´t know what to say. Hope the real experts in this forum would come to you with their bright ideas as they always do. You should have prepared yourselves for this situation long ago. You are risking the loss of your family´s Visa. You may have to re-do all again. I still imagine there must be a way around where you can convince those in your country to allow her to land and go back in the same week or so.
Good luck

(in reply to: Visa is going to expire while waiting for leave) My mother was a Deputy District Education Officer in the early nineties. She had to visit the US on a short notice which she could. She actually got leave for 6 months!! Your wife should talk to her superiors to give her release for about a week. There is a clause called Casual leave (CL)for government officers. May be this helps. She should try to talk to them openly about the urgency and importance of this leave. Try to talk to government lawyers. They sometimes show good ways. Good luck and dont panic... You cant think positively if you panic.
Remember, do not try to get thr visa extended. This wont work. You may instead try to work something out in the country your wife is working.
