I am landing on April the 26th. I will need to come back to the USA to sell my car and take care of other things before going back to Canada in the begining of Jully for good. The visa on my passport is only one entry and expires on may 15th. My question is, if I land on the 26th of April and apply for SSN and I provide my relative´s address in ontario that day where to have the card sent to. Would that be risky?. My relative can send me or bring me the card to the USA that is not a problem. But I heard that sometimes they ask you to come in person to pick the card is that true.
Please your feed-back on this matter is very appreciated.

People already in Canada who is becoming a PR usally have to go and pick the card in person, because CIC has to verify their identity.
In your case, you are coming from abroad, your ID will be verified at the Port of entry. You will be getting your PR card in the mail.
Once you enter Canada and become a PR, remeber that you will have the right to enter Canada and even if you don´t have a PR card (for whatever reason) you may apply for a temporary travel document to enter Canada.
