You may order a CAIPS file. It is a good source and tells your application status. If you have someone in Canada, you may be able to get in for $5. if not, you can order it yourself.

Visit this website: http://www.caips.ca/apply.shtml

Did you apply under SW category without a job offer? If so, don´t worry so early since you´ve AOR in hand. What time frame is mentioned for 1st contact (IA) in your AOR? Since you appeared new to the game, I suggest you go to http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Category:Canadian_Immigration_Overview to familiarize yourself with the process. BTW, I´m a Malaysian also, SW application, AOR in Sept. 2005 and till now, no IA!

In my country Nigeria, once you graduated from the University,
it takes a lot of time for one to secure job but as for Canada
based on the brochure sent to me by CIAS made me to understand the real fact about Canada with greater opportunities.

I have spent a fair bit of time trying to determine who CIAS is. Question for both of you -

where did you hear about them
what did they promise you
how much did you pay them
