Hi,
I am a immigrated canadian citizen. I am applying for my Mom´s immigration. Unfortunately she is recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast carcinoma. I am wondering will that cause any problem with her immigrationg to canada.
Also will she be provided with the medical insurance like all canadian citizens? I am really confused since treatment is so expensive that I am sure I cannot afford it by myself.
Any suggestion is greatly appreciated. Please, you can also direct me to appropriate source if they can answer my question.
Regards.

(in reply to: Will canada take care of sick parent) I am sorry to know about your mother´s illness.
However, they will not pass her in the medical examinations.
If there is more info. than I know, Roy should be able to answer.

(in reply to: Will canada take care of sick parent) There is a recent Federal Court Decision on Humanitarian and Compassionate which is no longer a two stage process. Processing times is one to two years.
Accepting that the applicant should be shown compassion then stage two Landing if the person passes the medical/crimminal checks.
I understand your concern for your mother but I doubt you or anyone could afford the medical costs if they have to be paid out of pocket.
Truly sorry
Roy

(in reply to: Will canada take care of sick parent) I am very sorry that your mother is facing this illness.
Right now, your mother needs her friends and she needs her family. Regretably, I am doubtful that Canada will be able to supply the support you are looking for.
I would do everything I could to spend some quality time with her in her current surroundings.
