Hello;
I graduated from university and I am currently working with my post-grad work permit which will expire in a few months.
I am applying for a permanent resident because my common-law will sponsor me.
I would like to know how to extend my work permit, and which forms do I have to use. Do I apply for TRV or TRP, or ???? I need to extend it so I can be here in Canada and I don´t want to loose my job.
I appreciate all your help!
Regards,
Wtei

You need to submit two applications at the same time!
Your In Status spousal sponsorship http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/applications/fc.html
as well your application for a extension of your current work permit. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/applications/extend-worker.html
I strongly suggest that you mail them both in the same envelope to the work permit address so they will look at your applications in a reasonably timeframe.
You will need to PROVE your CL relationship and any supporting information will be greatly helpful. If you have CDN & PR friends who will write a one page letter and attach status and gov´t photo ID with addresses your chances go way up.
Wish you all the best.

How can I get the spousal sponsorship form "Part C" as fast as possible.
We have a couple letters from our friends, as well as joint bank account, ID with address at same residence, photos of trips together, etc.
Thanks, Wander

(in reply to: Post-Grad Work Permit extension\Common-Law PR) What is the difference between the Permanent Residence Applications:Spouse or Common-Law Partner Class
and the Sponsorship Applications:Spouse, Common-Law or Conjugal Partner and Dependent Children
????
thanks

(in reply to: Post-Grad Work Permit extension\Common-Law PR) NOT MUCH IT IS THE SAME BECAUSE INCOME IS NOT AN ISSUE ONE IS OUTSIDE AND ONE IS INSIDE BECAUSE YOU WOULD NOT BE SPONSORING A DEPENDENT CHILD INSIDE BUT SUBMITTING A H&C APPLICATION FOR THE CHILD.
