hi, i hold an immigrant status here in canada. I want to visit my boyfriend who is in Sam Francisco
do i need to secure a Temporary Resident Visa(Visitor)so i can enter US?
is it hard to secure one? low chances?

depends on which country you are from. If you are from a visa exempt country (for the US), you don´t need a visa. If you are not you will have to apply for one, which will most likely involve an interivew.

Easy or Difficult totally depends on your situation. Generally, for a visit visa; you have to have a job, proof of permanant ties in Canada (as lease agreement or home ownerships..bank statements..). You have to establish that you wouldn´t settle there.
If you are from suspected countries (mostly the middle eastern) then it could be tougher anyway.
