Subject: Work permit qualifications
Hi, TIA for any info you can provide. I posted before that my friend from Syria was denied a TRV. Now, our family has found a company who is hiring Temp. Foreign Workers. The company has an LMO and is prepared to offer my friend a job offer. It is unskilled labor. My friend has a lot of general labor experience on his resume, but no certification or papers behind him.

My question is... will CIC still disallow a WP due to the fact that he has no training in the area of the job being offered? He can do the work, but has no specific training.

Will he still have to "prove" that he will return to Syria? And what constitutes proof? How difficult is it to enter Canada on a WP?

Thanks

Also, i noticed that the CIC website said that he would still need to "proove" that he will leave prior to the WP being issued. This seems very subjective. So, even with a job offer...can he still be denied? I apologize in advance for my naivete.

Also, it should come as no surprise that this man that I am talking about and I are interested in getting to know one another better without making a decision about marriage until we are sure about one another. We both feel, that doing this the legitimate way...first as a TRV, then as a WP will afford us the ability to get to know each other better first.

However, is the application for a WP is also denied, how will it affect us if we do decide to just go ahead and get married and then apply for family class sponsorship? We do not want to jeopardize his chances of coming here any more than they already are.

thanks
