Thank u Roy for ur reply to the earlier port.

I understand that I need to give more information and clarify my question.

My husband and I live in Calgary AB. PNP in Alberta is for people employed in Alberta not for buisness partners.

My sister and her family memebrs are Iraqis living in Iraq. Iraqis need some kind of Visa to enter Canada and usually it is not easy to get.

We want to expand our Bakery and for this purpose, we need more money and labour. From our experience, getting reliable employees is extremely hard and we may lose them at any point of time. So, we thought of getting a partner which will also fulfill both requirements (money and labour).

In conclusion, we agreed with my sister that we want her to
be our business partner. However, we don?t know if this is permitted according to Canadian rules. Also, if it is, what kind of visa they need to enter Canada. Is it a work permit? I talked to people in canada immigration and they seem not quite sure. I send an email to the Canadian Embassy in Damascus but I did not get a reply. So, my friend suggested I ask u.

Plz let me know if u need more information.

Anyways, applying for immigration will be a second step. First we want them to get into Canada.

thnks,
nunu

Dear Nunu

Love that name.

Some provinces have a business part of their PNP program but Alberta does not. The problem in Alberta is not business because that is booming, the problem is getting someone to do the job!

As long as your not just trying to help a family member out and you really need the employee who might one day invest read below.

Certain provinces have lists of occupations that are difficult to fill. Alberta has a long list and on that list is Bakers NOC 6252, Cooks NOC6242 and Chefs NOC6241

Your future employee (TEMPORARY WORKER) will have to prove they have the skills of a Baker (that they intend to return to Iraq after the contract expires) so read the main duties in the NOC regarding bakers.

The employer normally needs to advertise but these occupations only require a posting for seven days on the Federal Job Bank. Be aware HRSDC will call to confirm your COMPANY information. I suggest you do some advertisements in print as well and include what ever language the proposed applicant speaks, should be an asset.

Once you obtain a Labour Market Opinion you forward that to your sister and off to Syria the whole family goes to apply. Kids will get student permits, brother In-Law work permit.

Once they are in ALBERTA offer your sister a full time position. Then have them seek out an Alberta PNP certificate and permanent residence while living and working in Alberta, Canada.
