Subject: Sponsoring Husband
If a canadian woman(student but canadian citizen ) marry a boy who is in canada with student status(i mean student visa) is it possible to sponsor her (canadian girls)huband? And if it is possible what should she do to sponsor her husband(non canadian but living in canada with student visa). As the canadian girl is a student so she doesn´t work as a full time (mean work as a part-time)will she able to sponsor her husband.Does she need to show any income report to the government to sponsor her husband? And if she has to show her income to the immigration office how much she have to show? The bottom line is could u please tell me how will be the immigration process in this particular case?As she is in love with that international student and both of them wanna get married is it possible to get marry marry and make her husband canadian parmanent resident?please inform me about this case and i will really appreciate it.

Anyone who is either a PR or a Citizen of Canada can sponsor her husband. You have to show that you are not surviving on government funds. However, as she is a student, I am not sure how much income she should show. But I know someone whose application was refused because she was not working and was on Social Security...

As Sharon said:

"Income is not factored in this type of application(spouse). To qualify for a spousal application the couple must either be married or living common law for 1 year. In Canada applications take a fair bit of time to complete."

Good luck
