Subject: RPRF for me, Wife and Kid ?
I got the PR approval letter asking me to send Right of Permanent Residence Fee(RPRF) and our Passports for Stamping. I have a one yar old son who is born in USA and he has a passport also.
The question is, should I send the RPRF for my Son too ? or only me and my wife ?
it is $445 per person.
On the letter it says,
" Every principal applicant and his/her accompanying spouse/common law parter is required to pay a RPRF in the amount of $445 USD"

am I understading this correctly ?
Any ideas ? Please
and one more, I am intended to take my son along with us when we are going to land in Canada from USA, does this make any difference ?
thanks

According to the rules published by CIC for PR (at least for the one through Skilled Worker) it says clearly that RPRF are exempt for dependent children.

You stated " Every principal applicant and his/her accompanying spouse/common law parter is required to pay a RPRF in the amount of $445 USD"

It does not say "and dependent children" so I am quite sure your son is exempt.

You can check the CIC website just to make sure.

Yes CBV333
you are right, I have checked at the CIC website,
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/applications/guides/ESap2.html#wp825976
it clearly says, dependents are exempt,
I appreciate your help
