Dear Experts,
After landing, a new immigrant needs to apply for medical card which take two months. My question is, who bear the cost if a immigrant need medical treatment while his card is in process.

That is why it is good tto buy insurance from private insurance companies in the mean time.

In most provinces, it´s a 3 month wait after landing date. Although there are a few provinces that provide medical coverage on the date of landing.

Ontario is a 3 month wait afer landing. The major provinces usually require 3 month waits, while most of the the prarie and maritime provinces provide immediate coverage.
