Hi
Would like to know if a car is moved from US to Canada will the US
licence plate is givenback to us at the time of registeration in canada.
2 secondly will they take the US Drivers license and give a Canadian drivers licence.
3. eventually when you go back to US can we give the DMV the Canadian licence and they give the US licenece I mean after styaing 1 year in canada.
4.The car was brought in 2006 in Us what kind of modifications would they do how much it costs.
Any help suggestions appreciated.

2. You will get Canada License if you have had US license for the last 2 years( I believe) without them taking your US license
3. You will retain your US license. If it expires when you go back, you can always renew at the DMV for $15 or so.
4. If your car has daytime running lights, you probably are good to go

I don´t think you can easily get the equivalent Canadian license without exchanging your U.S. license. Most provinces require this exchange if you want to avoid additional testing and waiting. If you want to keep the U.S. license, I believe you have take all the tests (road and written) and start from the lowest level license.
