If you do not want your wife to accompany you to Canada, I would think so. otherwise see the post after yours.

You have to inform CIC about change in your marital status. You and your wife need to fill Background Declaration and Additional Family Information forms. Remember you and your family members have to meet security and medical requirements.

what about with my case, my visa has been refused because my husband did not declare me. he arrived canada 2001, its 2007 now can he still inform the cic about his marital status so that he can straighten up everything since he is already a canadian citizen now?pls help.thanks
