Thanks for reading my question.
Can someone guide me about proof of funds? What would be ideal way to present?
Can I present bank statement? Do they need only one statement or more?

You can provide following :
1) Current bank Statement with your name and other info.
2) Copies of bank Deposites...of course with your name
3) Stock market certificates to show as your investments

Take past six months/one year statements. Sorroy I mentioned current statement in my previous reply. Immigration figured it out in past that people are borrowing money from friends, family ...deposite under their name..get bank statement as proof of fund and returning money from whom the borrowed. Past one year statements are good enought for your claim that you have your own money for settlement in Canada.

All 6 months statement has to reflect same amount or it could be up / down?

It could be up/down as long as you have enough money of your own to settle down in Canada. How much money you need depends on your family size(number of people moving with you to Canada). Please refer this forum or immigration web site for exact figure. In my case we are two adult and two sons under 15. I need to show CD$17,750 as proof of funds.

I have closed all my back accounts when I moved. Now my back accounts are less than 6 months old. Can i just show my previous bank statements? Also, one of my active accounts is a joint account with my sister. Can I submit this for proof of funds?

just want to ask if my case would be acceptable against the settlement funds required by CIC
i have completed the reqd funds just a week ago and I have asked for the Bank Certificate indicating the current funds to date. This bank certificate shall be given as part of my proof f funds. This accnt is a USD allotee account wc i´ll be declaring in my Net worth form. Excluding my local currency account, wc is my payroll accnt and is expected to have zero balances every month :-)
since the money parked on my USD accnt is used for several investment options (not documented) i do incurred zero balances for some several months. But i do have at least one deposit each month. Do you think CIC allow to have zero balances at a certain period during ur account life time?... esp. during your application processing?...
it worries me financially coz, the interest rate in our country is very small as to having it invested in some business options such as buy and sell. Moreover, bank insurances here covers only almost 20% of the required funds.
Please give me some suggestions or ideas about my case.
