Subject: new graduate with past experience !!
  hi all,
i have a friend who has just graduated from
university. he studied business administration.
on the other hand he has 12 years experience as a
director for food company.
the question can he be qualified as skilled worker?
does the 12 years experience before graduation count?
( may be some of the years can be counted as part time
working "parallel to years of studying", and hence
half of the years number of experience)
please advise me,
thanx in advance,
eyad

Use the Self-Assessment tool on this page
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/index.html

the CIC website has tons of info
go to it,
click on english
then on the left -hand side, it says
choose canada
-to immigrate
- to work
-etc..
click on the link u want and follow the links to find all
the info. i7na heik minsawwi

ur best bet is to call immigration and check with them.
as far as I know, they need experience in your area of study, i.e. in you skill, cos ur applying as a "skiled"
worker. If you have no experience at all in your field,
then call 1-888-242-2100. I´m not sure what number u call if u r not in canada
