Subject: Reg. Work Permit & PR
  Hello everyone,

After reading the several posts from this forum, thought to get expert answers/experience about regarding Canada Work Pemirt & PR. to suits my situation.

I am a Indian Resident and currently living & working on H1B in USA (Information Technology) with more than 10 years of work experience, master degree in IT. And guessing that have enough scores to process canada PR. Since i am married and having a kid, trying to find out, whether the Canada PR is suits for me in terms of JOB Opportunities and life style. Please provide ur advice/experience for below quries based on the provided highlevel background of mine.

1) If i process the PR while working in USA on H1B, what type of risks there to get Jobs, after landing there?

2) Is there a way to findout the reliable consultants/agency to help out to process the PR either in USA or Canada?

3) Is that wise decision to get a Job in Canada on Work Permit first, and then to Process the PR from there? after leaving the Job on H1B in USA? Not sure, is that worth to decide like this.. if my target is on canada PR.

4) If then, what are all the Procedures/possibilities to get Job in canada (work Permit), and after that to process PR there in terms of Duration, with minimal risk.

Becoz i am not clear with terms of PNP, HRSDC and all and dont know how that will helps me to get PR.

Expecting our advice/answers/expereince.

Thanks
Dem

I have another query here.. Is there a possibility to get
work for my wife during my stay in canada on Work Permit? If yes means, how long to get the appropriate visa for that? or they dont allow to spouse to work, while the primary candidate on workpermit.

Thanks

Your spouse in most cases will be eligible for open work permit, which means she can work in almost all kind of jobs without requiring any approval from HRSDC if you are on work permit.

YOUR CONCEPT OF GETTING A WORK PERMIT FIRST IS THE BEST AND FASTEST ROUTE TO TAKE TO BECOMING A PERMANENT RESIDENT!!

YOU AND YOUR SPOUSE WOULD BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND BETTER THE LITTLE THINGS ABOUT CANADA THAT SOME PEOPLE ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT HERE.

YOU WOULD BOTH BE EARNING A LIVING THAT HAS TO BE COMPARABLE TO WHAT ANY CANADIAN IN THE CITY/PROVINCE THAT YOU CHOOSE MUST BE PAID. YOUR CHILDREN if any WILL BE ALLOWED TO ATEEND SCHOOL AND ALL OF YOU WILL HAVE FREE MEDICAL COVERAGE.

ONCE YOU PROVE YOURSELF TO YOUR EMPLOYER AND HE/SHE OFFERS YOU A FULL TIME POSITION YOU CAN SEEK OUT A PROVINCIAL NOMINEE CERTIFICATE AND SHOULD BE LANDED WITHIN NINE MONTHS FROM MOST VISA POSTS. SETTLEMENT FUNDS WILL NOT BE AN ISSUE BECAUSE YOUR ALREADY A FULL TIME EMPLOYEE. YOU WILL HAVE BEEN ABLE TO ESTABLISH A CANADIAN CREDIT RATING SO WHEN YOUR READY TO PURCAHSE A HOUSE YOU WILL BE A FAR BETTER CANDIDATE FOR A BETTER MORTGAGE.
