Subject: FBI clearance, fingerprinting for working permit
I am a permanent resident in US. As I have been posted that I am planning on working in Canada next year. I heared that they will ask for FBI clearance and fingerprinting for the issuance of working permit. My questions are, Where can I get that FBI clearance?, How many months till I get it from the time I file?, Are FBI clearance, police clearace and fingerprinting are the same?

And,how long they will issue the working permit/visa and my friend find an employer for me already.

Thank you in advance.

I doubt that you would require FBI clearance for a work permit. I was also in the states for few years before I came to Canada on a work permit. I did not have a submit that. You would require one if you are applying for a PR
