| Subject: Do I need the Police Verification for my wife too? |
Hi,
I am planning to apply for PR for me and my wife. I will be the primary applicant. In this case do I need to get the Police Verification report/FBI report from my Wife as well?

I am planning to apply for PR for me and my wife. I will be the primary applicant. I´m an Indian citizen and presently here in US (United State of America)on H1B for the past 18 months and my wife arrived to US in Feb 2007.
So, Can I apply PR for me and my wife together...??
And, before comming to US, I was in Germany for 3 years and my wife is just in India and came to US directly. So, Do I also need to get the "Police Clearance Certificate" from Germany and India for me & a ´Police Certificate" from my wife from India only...??
I really thank you if you can answer my question as i´m very very serious in applying as early as possible.

Again,
Regardless who is the principal applicant, every person must undergo background checks and medicals.
You need a police certificate from every country you have lived in for more than 6 months and that includes your wife.

I can apply for my Canada PR. But, Can I apply PR for my wife also who just arrived in US in Feb 2007.

OK, if you read the instructions you will find that you MUST include your family members in your application regardless if they are going to Canada with you.
If your application is approved, CIC will issue the immigrant´s visa for the family members included in the application.

hi friends, i am in the uk now and have applied to canada for pr. i lived in india for 2 years and did my HSLC there. and then moved to my country Nepal and stayed there for many years-nearly 25 years. I am not sure where to ask for my police verification certificate in india. CIC writes to contact the indian embassy in UK but they dont reply to my query? what should i do? please help me!
