| Subject: How to apply PR for new born baby |

Hello,
My wife and I got my PR card in 2006 and landed in Toronto in Feb 2006. We came back to US since I was working on a H1-B Visa. We are planning to move by end of this year to Canada permanently. We had a baby last month(US Citizen).
I know I have to apply for PR for the new baby only after moving to Canada. Since the new born is a US citizen, I guess to initially take the baby with us to Toronto(for 6 months) i don´t need any Visa (please correct me if I am wrong)
My queries are
1. I read in some posting that for the new born I have to apply for PR in something called ASYLUM program. Is that true ? if yes where can I get more info on that and how is it different from the regular process.
2. What happens after 6 months and I don´t get the PR for the baby? Can I extend the baby´s stay in Toronto or return back to US. (that would be difficult since I would have already lost my H1 status)
3. I heard that one has to stay for 90 days in Ontario to get the medical insurance. Until then what do we do? get a private insurance and how much that costs for a family of 3 for 3 months.
