Happy Mother´s Day!!!!!
It is a sad state of affairs when individuals seek out and pay for advice and they receive BAD ADVICE!
It also is a far more sad state of affiars, when the individual knows it is the WRONG ADVICE and they act on that BAD ADVICE.
Yesterday I got a call from a young AMERICAN WOMAN (grand-daughter)who was concerned for her 88 yearold Canadian grandmother. The Grand Daughter and her mother had come into Canada to stay with the ageing Mother-Grandmother.
They sought out advice on how to obtain "some status" and were told to make a refugee claim against the USA. So they made an Inland refugee claim after already being in Canada for some time, they got free medical coverage, open work permit, possibly welfare etc. etc.
GUESS WHAT? They lost their bid based on a well founded fear of persecution as a refugee to remain in Canada!
ITS REALLY NICE THAT CERTAIN PEOPLE WANT TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR MOTHER´S THIS MOTHER´S DAY AND HAPPY MOTHER´S DAY TO ALL THE MOM´S...but.....
Now these US citizens want to file a complaint because they were told the only way of getting "SOME STATUS" was to file a refugee claim. These US citizens stayed with the same authorized representative and filed a Pre Removal Risk Assessment based on new evidence that they face a risk to life if returned to the states. They lost that as well. They told me they will now file a complaint for taking the WRONG ADVICE!
Then yesterday because I was busy and did not promise them a pot of gold they went to Lawyer "Dagat" (John Wayne Movie True Grit) for more BAD ADVICE LOL
The American Women paid the Lawyer who is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada to file a stay of removal to the Fedeeral Court of Canada based on the negative Pre Removal Risk Assessment that they face a risk to life if returned to the states!!!!!!!
PEOPLE YOU HAVE TO TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS!
DO YOU THINK THEY WILL FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST THEIR NEW COUNSEL WHEN HE FAILS TO OBTAIN THEM A STAY ON THEIR REMOVAL ORDER?
WHAT I REALLY WANT TO KNOW IS HOW COME I NEVER FIND CLIENTS WITH SOOOOO MUCH MONEY TO THROW AT ME????? AHHHH I COULD NEVER LOOK AT MYSELF IN THE MIRROR IN THE MORNING IF I TOOK MONEY FROM THESE TYPES OF CLIENTS.

their money might be nice, but do you really want to deal with that much stupidity all in one place? Life is too short to have clients like that are too stupid to live!
I have been at a conference all week with my own collection of stupid people. Really Roy... it ain´t worth it.

1) One has to learn to listen to TWO sides of the story before judgment.
2)This family may need to move to BC, Vancouver, to brush & enhance their intellectual level, by neighbouring Sharon there.

never heard the term ´too stupid to live´?. it is a phrase saved for those who continually make bad decisions and expect others to bail them out or change the world to suit them.
Not literal.
