Sure

Advantages:
1. You meet many asians, who do their best to survive in a new country, and see how those people are doing great by looking at the number of crackheads (all white people) asking for money or a cigarette ,
2. You also meet very nice Canadians who work hard and pay tax and mortage until the end of their life but still seem to be the happiest people in the world, and you can´t help asking yourself "how come?"´
3. In canada those people who do cheap labour are the most educated people in the world, take cap drivers , they all have their BAs, MAs, and even some have got PhDs, ...you cannot find such educated cab drivers in any part of the world ...and when you meet a security guard at a bank ask him about his education I bet they all got their MAs in business or etc...
4. Such an organised place, everyone pay taxes, no matter how much you earn you pay tax, the more you get the more you pay, so the gap between rich and poor is not that much big, amazing, ...
5. best place to eat asian food since canadians do not know how to cook these restaurants are amazing ....
6. Great nature you can see a lot of wild animals, plants and even human beings called first nations who have been ignored, uneducated, belive or not their children do not have clothes to go to school or a school to go nearby...And the surprising thing is even canadians do not know where they live how they suffer, so by living here you become learn some skills to become ignorant....

Disadvantage:

You lose your culture, language, friends, identity, feel useless, left over ...and pessimistic, and ask yourself how idiot you have been by deciding to immigrate to canada...

dont listen to what john wrote... he THINKS hes smrt (in reply to: Advantages and drawbacks of living in Canada)
i think who ever wrote this is a selfconcious airhead who is just jealous that canada is a great free country. maybe if he considered moving here ,he would see how utterly wrong, retarded and immature he is after saying all that rude false infomation about the advantgages and disadvantages in living in canada. so grow up John or people who wrote this, canada is great....dont blame canada when you lose your friends and stuff like that. no wonder u dont have friends... u descriminate against great things and u have a mental disorder. grow up get a life ,then see if ur friends issue changes. go smoke another joint and then rethink what u wrote about canada.
because canada is 1000times better then you are and your just gonna have to live with it.

What John has written is 90% true. Many Asians doctors are sitting on the bench. Very hard to find a job

thanks for this opportunity (in reply to: Advantages and drawbacks of living in Canada)
I emigrated to canada 25 years ago and that what it takes to get to know this country, you will be impressed for first few years under the influence of propaganda delivered to attract new emigrants, which are essential to support local economy and banking system, but after that you will start experiencing all kinds of problems related to living here, I was pretty close to write a book how ugly life can be and you have no choices you have to live with it, after so many years I hate almost everything here except the nature. Sooner or later you will find you are kind of financial slave chasing the dollars to live and survive. The most hated institutions and subjects you will be dealing in this country are:
- Ravenue Canada Agency, Workers Compensation Board, Employers Looking for every avenue to rip you off, Homes, mortgages, bills and Property Taxes, Family Law and Legal System that can ruin you totally, Police Officers on the streets who are above the law, Banks and their service charges, also their credit cards waiting to ruin your life.................
- this story would be very long, this is why I am considering to write a book, but is hard to find the time to do it, the same like it is hard to find time to take care of own kids in this country, both parents have to work.
You will be discriminated in this country since day 1. Since you are new, you have to take the worst jobs, which has the worst pay and benefits , sometimes no benefits.
Propaganda on TV spreads variety of news and advantages of living here but people watching it have nothing to compare to, so they end up watching TV, eating cheeps and getting fat.

your story is no different than every person born in the developed world - Revenue Canada, WCB, not so great employers... not so great employees, homes, mortgages, bills blah, blah, blah

what exactly did you expect? money on trees? no need to work? everything is free?

Mathilde: Immigrating to Canada was one of the biggest mistake that I had ever made. I am lucky to be able to return to my original country. Many of Asians in Canada regretted their decision in moving, but they don´t have a choice to return. They stuck in meager income job and begging for government benefits and welfare.
