I am pregnant from my husband back in Lebanon. We´ve had bad luck with immigration since the start. So now we have to reapply for sponsorship but I was wondering since I´m pregnant now if they will speed up the application? We also thought about asking for temp visa if we proved that I am pregnant and have a doctor´s note that does say that I need him here. Anyone knows about previous similar cases and what I should do?

(in reply to: Pregnant and stressed) hopefully Roy has a better perspective than I do on this one.
Pregnancy is not likely going to be enough to speed up your case. I have a immigration aquaintance that gave birth alone after her husband was denied PR. He has yet to see his 6 month old child.
Are you in a position to appeal the sponsorship?
a temp visa is going to be a toughie. There are too many reasons for your husband not to return to Lebanon.

Why would anyone have to re-apply?
You do not say that there was a refusal.
Submitting a Doctor´s note of that kind for a CVV request for a husband would be like screaming "IT´S A BOGUS MARRIAGE".
Women have been giving birth since the beginning of time and I for one believe it is a miracle but.... not a reason for a CVV. During our child´s birth my wife wisheed over and over again I would be quiet and not so happy.
If you have applied before your partner is seen as some one who wishes to come to Canada for a permanent period and therefore no temporary visa like a CVV would be granted.
Unless he is now near that refugee camp that is being pounded. Just a thought.
