I am Canadian by birth, my husband is 63 British and retired, we have two daughters 15 and 17 both born in the UK but made Canadian citizens on birth and hold Canadian passports. I have lived in the UK since I was five but have maintained by citizenship. We would like to relocate to Canada now, does the fact that my husband is retired pose any problems? Can we just upsticks tomorrow and move to Canada, or do I, as I have lived in the UK for 50 years, have to apply/inform of my intention to return (to Alberta). Will they allow my husband into Canada as he is retired although financially secure. Thank you.

Moving back from UK to Canada (in reply to: English husband retired) I don´t see any problems if you have Canadian citizenship. For your husband it may be a process but not a problem, which sometimes could be both at the same time.
Financial security is just a bonus.
Hope this helps...
