hello every one, i have question regarding filling for canadian immigration in buffalo.
im oreginaly citizen of bulgaria and i live in the US at the moment. i came to the US on tourist visa then i filled for green card after that. right now my green card AOS case is still pending, and i have been issued EAD .
my question is can i apply for canadian immigration through family member from the US or do i have to go back home and file from there? thanks to every one

If yo have been legally admitted in the US and stayed for a year or more, you may apply from there.

You only need to be admitted for a period of one year which means with a H1B of 3 years you can apply as soon as you land in US.

WRONG
YOU NEED TO RESIDE IN THE COUNTRY AND HAVE BEEN ADMITTED FOR ONE YEAR. IF YOUR NOT RESIDING THERE EVEN IF YOU WERE ADMITTED FOR ONE YEAR YOU WOULD NOT MEET THE PROVISIONS OF IRPA REGULATION 11 (1)
IN OTHER WORDS YOUR STATUS MAY HAVE EXPIRED BUT YOU ENTERED LEGALLY FOR A PERIOD OF AT LEAST ONE YEAR AND ARE STILL RESIDING THERE.
