Subject: work permit

i have a work permit, but employer lost the contract he hired me to work on, he has agreed to keep me on a contract basis and not full time. Do i need to inform immigration and does this work qualify for work experience when i file for landed immigrant status. Plus due to free time on hand i also started my own company. Would love to hear what u guys have to say
