you are coming to Canada to visit - you cannot work - it is illegal. I am not sure where you have obtained your information but your presumptions are far from reality - and the reality is going to be a shock.

1) residency permits take several years to obtain. You apply from your home country and then wait your turn. Eligability depends on several factors, education, age, job experience, language skills and adequate money to pay your living expenses once you arrive

2) you cannot apply for a work permit from within Canada. you must do so from your home country.

3) a marketing MBA is only helpful if you intimately understand the Canadian marketplace and have excellent language skills. There may be some companies who have international accounts etc. but those are harder to come by.

4) a work permit is dependent on finding an employer that will request your services. They must satisfy a govenment agengy that there is nobody available in Canada to do the specific job. At that point they are allowed to look outside the country. If you can find such a company, permits are fairly quick. However, again... you must be in Pakistan to complete that application.

5) permanent residency is attached to your passport. To obtain it you need to pass the point criteria, medical tests, security checks etc. It is not a simple document that is handed to you after you submit a one page application.

6) you cannot work in Canada without a permit - PERIOD. if you get caught you will be deported and banned from Canada for a minimum of 2 years. I would not even attempt it.

7) Montreal is a big city. Depending on your language skills (more french than english) jobs are available... but again, my friend

you have some very bad assumptions about what you can do during your VISIT to Canada. There is no problem for you to have. You are coming to Canada with enough money to support your visit and a return plane ticket. You are expected to do your visiting and return home. Anything else is breaking the law.

im sorry i didnt pointed that im talking abt temporary residence permit not perminant residence.i have a cousin telling that,he visited canada for 6 months and on 3rd month he founds the employer offering him a cheap job.due to his conditions he applied for that and he is still there for 2 years after his visit. Now he is planning to apply for PR on job basis that fulfills his points.
is that all possible?and u r telling that u have to apply from abroad canada?

it is illegal to work in Canada on a temporary residency permit.

your cousin is working illegally until they issue him a work permit or permanent residency. BOTH require him to be out of the country. Don´t make the same mistake that he is making. When CIC finds out what your cousin is doing, they may very well deport him and not allow him back!

read the rules rather than trust someones advice. It is safer that way.

""it is illegal to work in Canada on a temporary residency permit""
what if u have a work permit(u applied for a job during ur visit and u got it.then u applied for work permit while u were in canada, ""during ur visit""it requires 6 to 7 weeks to process the work permit and this time is less than ur visit time so u can have this work prmit with in canada.now u have both temporary residence visa and work permit right.)then whats the problem if u can get everything with in ur visit whether the job is cheap or not,u have everything leagal.
