Subject: Sonsorship DENIED. Proceeding with PR application
i recently got a call from immigration Canada telling me that my boyfriend couldn´t sponsor me because he didn´t declare me as his partner when finalizing his permanent residency at the boarder.

They asked if we would like to proceed with the application for PR and we said yes. so the file was sent to London as we´re applying from outside of Canada.

Can anyone tell me how long the application will take? Will it be processed as a Sponsorship application and take between 6-8 months or will it be proceeded as a PR application and take up to 2 years.

Any opinions on this would be welcome, even if you´re not entirely certain.

Thank you for help

Natalie

If your living common-law and he never declared you he has misrepresnted a material fact. aka his marital status.

Were you described 117 (9) (d) and if so will they come after him to remove him?

Sorry but look up the regulations.

At the time he became a PR was he in a common law relationship with you?
If he was´t he may appeal the decision if he was....

I am sorry to tell you that you are application more likely will be refused.

I don´t know if you or your parner realized that CIC has grounds to revoke his PR due to misrepresentation.

If you´ve applied under family class and your sponsor is found ineligible, your application would be denied. I wouldn´t think you would qualify to be considered for skilled worker unless you applied providing all the information they require and met the required points.

Your chances are basically nil of being approved, and if he misrepresented, he may lose his status as well. I feel sorry for you, but I don´t know any way around it.
