Subject: PLEASE REPLYYYY ASAP. THANKS :)
Hello there, first of all thank you all and God bless you.
I am married , 29 yrs old , B.A English major , worked in different occupations , which are existing in the NOC list skill level 0,A,B

1- Can I apply as immigrant skilled worker if one of my occupations
I worked in the last 10 years was less than 2 years , will it
count?

2- One of the occupations I worked in was during my university. does
it count as years of experience? and will the officer ask for a
letter from the place where I was working with
them only or they will need more proofs ? as I was working with my oncle and I didnt have any record or pay slips or insurance or such formalities , but I am ready to be tested in this profession.

thanks

it is all about points. If you have 67 with only 2 years experience in one of your occupations - then it is fine.

If it was part time, then it only counts for 6 months. and yes, you will need to validate your employment.

vocational testing is not offered.

Thanks Sharon, appriciating your reply, For my case, I want to apply using the simplified application , I worked with my uncle as show maker long time ago but within the last 10 yrs , my uncle owns a shop , I can get a letter from him validating these years of experiece. will that be enough ?

also , I worked in different occupation for 18 months , then I stopped for 4 months , then I worked with another company for 6 months , will that count as 2 years of experiece or it have to be continous ?

You need to have one year continuous experience. More than one year you need not worry about the continuity so much. In your case your experience will be counted as 2 years. Your uncle´s letter may not be sufficient. You may have to show other evidence such as tax returns, pay stubs, etc.

Go to www.cic.gc.ca and take a self evaluation test to find out if you are eligible or not?
