| Subject: HELP!Trouble obtaining a Canadian visa from Brazil |

HELP! We have paid to fly our good Brazilian friend to Canada for a 1 month visit. He is a student there and has no significant assets. The agency he is using has already requested a letter from me, my bank statement, my tax assessment. And they said that the Canadian consulate is refusing most cases like his. What can we do to make it happen. It just doesn´t seem fair....

The only thing you could do is write a better invitation letter stating you wish to show your friend something unusual. Something that most Canadian´s working overseas have always wanted to do but never done.
Put your thinking cap on for the area of the country your in.
An example would be inviting someone from a country near the Equator to come to Canada in the winter to take him/her on a three day dog sled trip.
Google away or speak to a travel agent or Provincial tourism ministry.

Thanks for your tip Roy. Unfortunately he has already submitted his application. Would it be useful to try and add to his application or better to wait until he is denied?
