Subject: Traveling after receiving a first stage approval |
Hello, I just received a first stage approval for PR. If I leave Canada for a vacation (let´s say the States), will they let me in? Do I have have to wait to become a PR before leaving the country?
Thank you!

You should wait until the process is over.
Under the criteria that you are a visitor, if you go to the US or any other country, once you try to re enter Canada your intentions aren´t to stay on temporary basis, actually you are going to stay and since you are not a PR yet, there is no guarantee that you are going to admitted into the country.
If you are refused of entry, it WILL cause a problem in your application.
Not worth it.

(in reply to: Traveling after receiving a first stage approval) JASON CIC INFORM YOU RIGHT ON YOUR LETTER THAT STAGE ONE APPPROVAL DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL BE LET BACK IN IF YOU LEAVE.
