hi, we got a letter that we meet all requirements after stage 1 and stage 2 approval, and must pay the $490, bring the original documents to the local immigration office.
my question is whether they can still reject the application at this point, after we have paid the money for the granting of PR card?

SURE CAN IF THEY FIND OUT THE TWO OF YOU ARE NOT LIVING TOGETHER. JUST GOT A CALL FROM MISSISSAUGA CIC REGARDING AN APPROVED CLIENT SOMEONE CALLED AND SAID THEY ARE NOT LIVING TOGETHER.

Just in case you did not understand the information CIC gets is NOT always true and they know that. Sometimes it is! Make sure you make NO other women jealous. That goes for the guys too.
When someone feels passed over they (humans) can do NASTY things.

How long after you paid for the pr card did you hear from immigration . We are near the end now but you cant get any information out of immigration . Can you help me with this , I ask you because it looks like you just paid like we did . Thanks Terry

hi terry
we have not paid for the pr card. We just got the letter from CIC that we need to pay for the pr card and then local immigration officer will be in touch with us. For us to bring the original documents and a final decision will be made then. So i dont know how long that delay will be, between paying the money for the pr card and getting a call from the local immigration officer.

hi terry,
got a letter of where to go for appointment to pay $490 and hand over 2 passport photo´s and passport. took about 5 min, had to sign documents and pr card should be in the mail in about a month´s time. so between second stage approval letter and letter confirming appoitment, about a week.
