Subject: Paris processing time
Hi, all, I am applying for Canadian immigration under the skilled worker category in the Paris office. My application was submitted on June 03, 2004 and I got the Embassy´s aknowledgment of receipt on August 19, 2004. May I know when can I expect the next correspondence from the Embassy. My case is a cut-and-dry case, my application is complete, I paid the fee in cash in the Paris office, and I even did the finger prints which is not normally necessary. Does anyone here work for CIC? I am a student in France and my study permit in France is going to be out of date in 8 months. May I get the immigration visa before that date? Thank you all for your help!

Hi, Chamala, where do you read the 10 to 12 weeks? It has been 4 months that I received my AOR and no follow up since then.

so soon (in reply to: Paris processing time)
Hi, so you are applying for Quebec immigration, you are a provincial nominee. I think you have to do another request in the Canadian Embassy in Paris, because the Quebec immigration authority doesn´t have the right the deliver the visa, so don´t waste your time in waiting for your pp.
Go to the Embassy asap.

Skilled Worked Permanent Residence (in reply to: Paris processing time)
I just read the forum messages and was wondering if anyone was out there who just went through the whole process of Permanent Residence through Skilled Worker program through the Paris embassy. I sent my application October 1,2004, received my file number January 4th,2005 (the 3 months). The letter states 24-36 months processing times, but many websites indicate times between 5-20 months. I guess everybody has a life to plan and waiting does not make sense. Would appreciate if anyone could share their processing experience.

Thanks

Got my AOR at the end of march 2004 and still waiting (in process). No news for medicals, interviews or anything. My AOR letter states 24-30 months for skilled workers, same as Paris Embassy page, and I bet that, unfortunately, this is what will be. Yes, we have our plans but they manage our future.

difficult to believe that (in reply to: Paris processing time)
Hi, it´s really incredible that after 10 months´ waiting, you still get nothing new from the Embassy. That´s totally unbelievable!!!I do agree that they manage our future. But if we still want to become a Canadian Permanent Resident, we can do nothing else but wait!!!
A little patience for all applicants!

Hi, have you guys seen the newly published Paris Office processing time for skilled worker class? The time frame has been considerably enlarged, now it takes 27 months to finalize 30% of the cases, compared to 6 months before.
Wuwu, I am dying. I have to reschedule my work and study plan. Do you guys have a solution for yourselves???
