Yes. It took me about 6 weeks to receive mine.

Did you apply yourself or via a PR or citizen of Canada? If I am a non-permanent resident of Canada can I still get caips by myself?

Yes, you can apply yourself if you are currently living in canada. It costs you only $5 bucks and usually takes 4 to 5 weeks if you are living in one of the major cities. I got mine within 33 days. The application procedures were posted somewhere on this forum and if you do some searching you will find them. Hope that helps!

I am not sure how long it takes; i too have requested it almost three weeks back. But the check (for $5) that I sent has not yet posted to the account. So I am thinking that they have not yet started processing my request for the notes yet.
