Hi,
I am on a student visa in Canada for 2 and half years, and had applied for PR January this year. Got my assessment in November this year. I already sent my medicals and everything, so I am in processing.
Could somebody suggest whether I should go to US to do my 4 month internship while my case is still in processing ??.
Will it effect my case ?
Thanks
Raj

Expand your thinking (in reply to: TRAVEL TO ANOTHER COUNTRY WHILE IN PROCESSING) Not sure if you are allowed or not. But look at this situation from this point of view. CIC will have an interview with you at one point and will ask you questions whether you have been outside Canada and why. When you say that you went to US I don´t think they will be too excited about it. You should find an intern position here and support Canadian companies rather than US. If you plan to go for intern to US, you probably plan to work there. Why don´t you then ask US to get their citizenship?
I think it just makes sense.

(in reply to: TRAVEL TO ANOTHER COUNTRY WHILE IN PROCESSING) You can go to USA to do your internship as long as you get US visa. It will not effect your case at all.
