Subject: Medical History (past TB) Problem?
Is tuberculosis in childhood going to be a problem for immigration? Will they ask for more tests after initial medical? Any one with similar experience? Thanks so much in advance.

Ask your doctor who did medicals if everything is OK. If there is a problems, the doctor will notify you.

Almost Perfect!!
Be honest about the facts of your past. (in reply to: Medical History (past TB) Problem?)
My best advice is this......Bring up your past medical facts at the medical examination. Tell the Doctor that you had TB as a child and ask for a test to be done to prove that you are now completely healthy and don´t carry the disease any more.

All ways be honest about the Immigration process, and if you are caught lying, it will be a very good reason to have your application denied.

Good luck.

hey Jim,

Did you read my question, I am not asking whether to tell them or not. I have seen your other posts on the forum, and your answers are always favoring anti-immigration.

I have mentioned in the history. I am completely healthy and everything is fine with the medical also.

Now, again, this is the question if you(Jim) didnt understand first time. If just history of TB will cause additional medicals or issues?

It depends on the medical officer. If you can produce x-ray reports after you were cured showing that there has been no change then you may not be asked to provide additional tests. You have to convince the medical officer that you are completely disease free. If you are really worried then you can ask the doctor doing your medicals to do sputum culture test in advance and send those also with your medicals.

Anti-immigrant?

No...... just a Canadian citizen who wants honest people to come to my country, not liars. The advice I gave you was echoed by the next poster, who said the same thing that I did.

Be honest.

Jim,

Again you didnt read it. The history is already mentioned. So being honest part is already done. The question is not about that. The other poster is talking about convincing the CIC or officer after telling the history.

And the question is not really for you. It is for the people who have had any past medical history, and who mentioned that in their medical forms and CIC´s request after that. You do not have any experience or knowledge in this matter. I am looking for useful responses and thats what this forum is for.

Thanks other people for their responses.
